Clinical Hypnotherapy Training Course

Twa Acres Hypnotherapy Training Centre provides a professional comprehensive Clinical Hypnotherapy Training Course that has few peers. The training course combines extensive supervised practical 'hands-on' experience with distance learning and is validated by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. This course is also an Approved Training Course of the National Council of Psychotherapists.

The course is designed to train students to practitioner level, giving them a thorough grounding in Clinical Hypnotherapy & Hypnoanalysis, with sound practical training in the management of the hypnotic state, through the application of ego-enhancing methods, suggestion therapy, dynamic-insight-orientated methods and other hypnoanalytical techniques, including age regression and past life regression techniques.

Hypno-healing, pain control, intuition exercises, colour & the subconscious, Clinical governance etc., are also covered.

The course emphasises the importance of the individual with students undergoing several sessions of hypnoanalysis during the practical part of the course. This ensures that they not only attain insight into what their clients will experience but also reach a deeper understanding of themselves.

They also gain extensive theoretical knowledge, practical experience and confidence in their ability to provide investigative hypnoanalytical methods and therapeutic techniques for specific problems. Students practise hypnotherapy techniques on each other daily from the second day of the course.

The course is accepted for grant-aided funding by Adult Guidance & Education Services, and as an Open Learning Project by some Enterprise Boards, who are prepared to fund the course fee either fully or in part. Some students take advantage of a Government Sponsored Career Development Loan (CDL) which is administered through certain banks. Twa Acres Hypnotherapy Training Centre is recognised as a provider of training under this scheme.

These Diploma courses, span a fourteen week period, and are held twice yearly, during Spring and early Autumn. Students must attend the Centre in Dunfermline for practical experience during the first two weeks of their course. The remaining twelve weeks are home based distance learning and include the completion of assignments and written examination.

Placements are limited to ensure almost individual tuition and supervision. The fee includes extensive hand-outs, binders, all relevant office material, and a number of pre-recorded audio tapes on relevant topics for personal and office use. Lunch, supper and refreshments are included in the cost.

On graduation, the new therapists are invited to join The Association of Professional Hypnotherapists, a non-profit making organisation, which vigorously promotes the therapy, whilst helping to protect the interests of both the public and the practitioner.

The Association of Professional Hypnotherapists is administered by an Advisory Council elected from the membership. Its aim is to co-ordinate post-graduate training, act as disciplinary body and cascade information pertaining to developments in hypnotherapy to its members.

New therapists are supported by a highly effective 'mentor' network, 'help-line' and post graduate training.
